H. Thomson<\/a>, a national treasure.  It saw the projecting of the <a href=\"http:\/\/a123.g.akamai.net\/f\/123\/12465\/1d\/media.canada.com\/gallery\/memorial\/img7377.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"postlink\">names<\/a> of the 3,598 <a href=\"http:\/\/a123.g.akamai.net\/f\/123\/12465\/1d\/media.canada.com\/gallery\/memorial\/lights.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"postlink\">Canadians <\/a>who died at Vimy Ridge in WWI onto the <a href=\"http:\/\/a123.g.akamai.net\/f\/123\/12465\/1d\/media.canada.com\/gallery\/memorial\/lights1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"postlink\">Memorial<\/a>.  Hundreds of people were there.  Many parents brought their children and tried to explain what <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canada.com\/ottawacitizen\/features\/vimy\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"postlink\">Vimy <\/a>meant to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/background\/vimy\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"postlink\">Canada<\/a>.  It was very powerful and brought me to tears.  They also interspearsed the names with photos of some of the men.
