So remember how I waxed Poetic about the PVR in an earlier post?
Yeah well poetry ain’t coming out of my mouth now.
I set the PVR to tape Bionic Woman and Reaper, among other things, last night. As I went upstairs, I knew Bionic Woman was taping.
When I got downstairs last night, not only was Bionic Woman not there, neither was Reaper. Nor was Journeyman which I had taped earlier in the week. Now the Husband Unit most definitely did not delete them, and the cat doesn’t have opposable thumbs. So all I can assume is a hardware failure.
And it’s not the first time this has happened. Our first PVR had the same problem of shows not recording after about six months of usage. The cable company replaced it after testing our line, the connection to the house and the connection to the main line.
This one started to have problems close to the sixth month anniversary.
The Husband Unit has been on the phone with the cable company. Their response? We’ll send it to engineering.
I’m thinking it’s time to switch to satellite.
