Today, the 17th, is my Birthday. And lucky me, I got something really cool that I get to share with everyone. <\/p>\n

Joe mentioned this here<\/a>, that as part of the annual BBC Children in Need<\/span> charity event, they’re doing a short bit where Fifth Doctor Peter Davidson meets current Doctor David Tennant. <\/p>\n

Well, the bit, aired in England and has been posted to YouTube for those of us across the pond, as they say, can watch and enjoy. According to DWM, you can watch it on YouTube <\/span>with a clear conscience so long as you then go on to make a donation. \"Smile\" <\/p>\n

Ladies and Gentlemen: Time Crash<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

My thoughts<\/span>: <\/p>\n

I love how seamlessly they slid this between the end of last season and the lead in for the next Christmas special. <\/p>\n

I love how it’s quite funny, yet also manages to be a very sweet love letter to Davidson’s Doctor. <\/p>\n

I loved the one joke that almost had me break my desk from laughing when I heard it, and will have the entire Slash community screaming "I WAS RIGHT!!!" <\/p>\n

I loved Davidson’s Doctor’s comment about the look of the TARDIS.<\/p>\n

I love how Tennant pronounces the word "vegetable."<\/p>\n

I love how they manage to touch on a lot of continuity bits, like Tegan, LINDA, and Time Lords in funny hats.<\/p>\n

I was dismayed when I realized that, indeed, the current generation of fans of the show did grow up with Davidson as their Doctor, as mine was Tom Baker. Which reminds me that I’m gettin’ old.<\/p>\n

My biggest complaint is this: I wish it was just a little bit longer.<\/p>\n

I’ll easily score this a nine on our rating scale<\/a>. Watch it. Enjoy it. Then give a little money to the kids in need.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
