Each archive volume of Creepy is packed with stories (usually up to eight short stories were featured in every issue!) running the gamut of gruesome subject matter, from reimagined horror classics such as &quot;The Cask of Amontillado,&quot; to spectacularly mind-twisting shorts such as &quot;The Thing in the Pit,&quot; or the macabre maritime yarn &quot;Drink Deep.&quot;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">I&#8217;ve been eagerly awaiting this book.  I devoted part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfsite.com\/columns\/graphica281.htm\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"postlink\">October &quot;Nexus Graphica&quot;<\/a> to the Warren magazines and listed the first volume among my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfsite.com\/columns\/graphica286.htm\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"postlink\">ten best graphic novels of the year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>From my review of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Creepy-Archives-Various\/dp\/1593079737\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;amp;s=books&amp;amp;qid=1229975938&amp;amp;sr=1-1\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"postlink\">Volume One<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<table width=\"90%\" cellspacing=\"1\" cellpadding=\"3\" border=\"0\" align=\"center\">\n<tr>\n<td><span class=\"genmed\"><b>Quote:<\/b><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"quote\">This hardcover compilation of the first six issues of the legendary horror magazine features amazing work from Frank Frazetta, Jack Davis, Joe Orlando, Al Williamson, Alex Toth, Gray Morrow, Angelo Torres, and Roy Krenkel. The volume, produced in the same oversized dimensions of the original magazine, includes the original color covers, advertisements, and letters pages.
