I returned to the character and his candy-infused world for the thirteen week strip <span style=\"font-style: italic\">KandyLand<\/span>. It appeared in the weekly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.austin360.com\/xl\/content\/xl\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"postlink\"><span style=\"font-style: italic\">XLent<\/span><\/a>, a supplement to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.statesman.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"postlink\"><span style=\"font-style: italic\">The Austin-American Statesman<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This time artist <a href=\"http:\/\/delalunamedia.mosaicglobe.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"postlink\">Troy Gonzales<\/a> (under the <span style=\"font-style: italic\">nome de plume<\/span> Newt Manwich) joined me for the fun. <\/p>\n<p>While these stories are far from perfect, they hold up better then I remember. Interestingly as Troy&#8217;s art got stronger near the end of the run, my scripting faltered, but more on that later.<\/p>\n<p>My plan is to run a strip ever Wed for the next thirteen weeks. It could have been that the <span style=\"font-style: italic\">Statesman<\/span> was worried about me using the trademarked Lemonhead as the title for the strip or it could have been I was thinking I might want to tell other character&#8217;s stories.
