Clad in drab brown and gray Vikings garb, Eric Allan Kramer delivered an uninspiring, distinctly ungodlike portrayal. That remained the lone live-action version \u2014 several animated stories exist \u2014 until the energetic, comic book-fueled feature film \u201cThor\u201d envisioned by director Kenneth Branagh and actor Chris Hemsworth invaded the cineplex.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p><span class=\"postbody\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.movingpicturesnetwork.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Thor_ChrisHemsworth2_500x333.jpg\" border=\"0\"\/><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<table width=\"90%\" cellspacing=\"1\" cellpadding=\"3\" border=\"0\" align=\"center\">\n<tr>\n<td><span class=\"genmed\"><b>Quote:<\/b><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"quote\">Branagh relies on his extensive Shakespearean experience for the bombastic \u201cThor,\u201d a tale with no little scenes nor many quiet moments. The actors project their lines as though appearing at the Globe before a throng of theatergoers. As befitting a story of Norse mythology, the gods\u2019 bodies and faces ripple to near perfection, especially the handsome Hemsworth. (When early in the film he appears sans shirt, the female \u2014 and many male \u2014 gasps of appreciation were audible throughout the cinema.)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p><span class=\"postbody\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.revolutionsf.com\/bb\/weblogs\/upload\/16\/7688659514dc346ea93241.jpg\" border=\"0\"\/><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<table width=\"90%\" cellspacing=\"1\" cellpadding=\"3\" border=\"0\" align=\"center\">\n<tr>\n<td><span class=\"genmed\"><b>Quote:<\/b><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"quote\">The effects, especially of the Bifr\u00f6st Bridge (the means the Asgardians use to travel between worlds), and the surprisingly few combat sequences dazzle.
