Very sterile and everything looks computer generated.  Basically, exactly as I feared.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wildaboutmovies.com\/images_4\/WatchmenMoviePoster.jpg\" border=\"0\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\nThe strength of <span style=\"font-style: italic\">Watchmen<\/span> as a comic is that it embraces stereotypical super-hero stories and turns them on its head with some unconventional storytelling and nihilistic elements while retaining the traditional look of the genre.  That is why Dave Gibbons was the perfect artistic choice.  This trailer offers none of that and much like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.revolutionsf.com\/article.php?id=4127\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"postlink\"><span style=\"font-style: italic\">Wanted<\/span><\/a> looks like your typical lets blow things up, derivative Hollywood movie.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tumblr-crosspostr-linkback\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.revolutionsf.com\/revblogs\/geekcurmudgeon\/2008\/07\/18\/watchmen-trailer\/\" title=\"Go to the original post.\" rel=\"bookmark\" target=\"_blank\">Watchmen trailer<\/a> was originally published on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.revolutionsf.com\/revblogs\/geekcurmudgeon\" target=\"_blank\">The Geek Curmudgeon<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Watchmen trailer is out and boy is it ugly.
