Let\u2019s take a quick look to see what\u2019s arrived at the Geek Compound.<\/p>\n

Actually the following all arrived on Saturday, November 30. The first via USPS from my pal Jacob Weisman, the publisher of my anthology\u00a0The Apes of Wrath<\/a><\/i>. Somehow, he just knew I’d find it cool!<\/p>\n

The second item (a set of three books) come from avant-garde jazz musician Dave Lazcko of WD-41<\/a> fame (alongside acclaimed guitarist\u00a0Willie Oteri<\/a>). After checking with Brandy to make sure I didn’t own the trio, Dave personally delivered the gift on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

As a fellow\u00a0PotA<\/em> fan, Dave apparently had these since childhood and figured (rightfully) that I’d enjoy owning the books. Yes, I’d seen these in my book travels but never got around to picking them. Now to find the 4th book (Battle for the Planet of The Apes<\/em> by David Gerrold) to complete the collection.<\/p>\n

I’d be remiss to not mention Dave’s latest release\u00a0Shrunken Head Shop: Live in<\/a> Germany<\/a><\/em>, complete with a cover shot and designed by Brandy Whitten<\/strong> (aka Mrs. Gurmudgeon).<\/p>\n
