| Your mentioning this story has reminded me about something that didn't sit right with me when it was said in X-Factor that "knowing stuff" isn't Layla's mutant power. She only knows this stuff because she traveled in time to her past and told herself this stuff. That shouldn't have carried over to an alternate reality if that wasn't her power. |

True, but who else could they use as a cosmic villain from the DCU? Starro?
And be sure to have your buttons ready for busting when I get there. |

| I always stick with Data's comment about it: "Romeo and Juliette? Ah, yes. Shakespeare's treatise on parental neglect and teen suicide." |

| I've always thought it was a mistake to keep teaching R+J to middle-schoolers.
For one thing, you'd get their desensitized imaginations engaged more quickly with a tale of murder and intrigue, or murder and jealousy, or murder and madness (MacBeth, Othello, Hamlet).
For another, Juliet and her Romeo get all the gushy scenes and dialogue. Just try to teach a class full of newly-minted teens about social unrest and youth gone wild when Chesty LaRue is moaning at the moon and getting cleavage-sweat over her Prince Dummocks.
Really, I'm not sure Romeo & Juliet should be taught at all. It's one of Shakespeare's shallower works, and if it seems to stand the test of time, it's only because raging hormones never change. I won't even give The Bard credit for penning a cautionary tale, here. I think he was just writing a crowd-pleaser. |

| I hate to correct you, but Krona is a long-time DCU bad guy (first appearance 1965), mainly against Green Lantern. He had a pivotal role in "Crisis on Infinite Earths", as it was his viewing of the creation of the universe that created the old Multiverse.
