So, Microsoft thought that sponsoring a commercial-free episode of Family Guy that would be one big commercial for Windows 7 would be a good idea. Everyone OTHER than Microsoft knew it was a horrible idea. (Including Seth MacFarlane, one presumes--I'm sure he saw it as a great opportunity to take a bunch of money from a company while simultaneously trashing them.)
Looks like Microsoft came to its senses. After seeing what MacFarlane came up with, MS realized this was going to be utterly awful.
You can see the preview clip here. You know, I used to like Family Guy, but got tired of it. If that clip is any indication of the state the show is in now, then I'm very, very, very glad I quit it. _________________

I used to like (and still do, I suppose) the Stewie character and to a lesser extent Brian the dog, but the rest of the cast are highly annoying to me. I quit watching very early on. Before it was canceled the first time. _________________

That is about the state of things, Superdave. After that one season when it inexplicably went off its rapid-fire pacing in favor of more drawn-out jokes, it just hasn't been the same. _________________ "It is a pain in the a$$ waiting around for someone to try to kill you." I actually watched a couple of episodes lately, and enjoyed them most of the time. I had some good laughs, in the moments when I wasn't cringing and going "ugh." _________________

Ditto, exactly and completely. Though I still enjoy the scraped knee joke. |
