I read on Sci Fi Wire that Star Trek big shot, big cheese, and big kahuna Rick Berman officially confirmed some news. He told the Star Trek official site that the 10th Star Trek movie, Nemesis, will include Wil Wheaton, Kate Mulgrew, and Whoopi Goldberg.

He said that the screenwriter "wanted Kate to play an admiral." I assume that means Janeway has been promoted, but for goodness' sakes, I don't see why. For losing a Federation ship and its crew for 7 years? They didn't make the Skipper a fleet commander when he returned from Gilligan's Island, did they? I mean, before Gilligan got them stuck on the island again.

Yeah, SURE you never saw Rescue from Gilligan's Island.

He said " we have a wedding" in the movie, and Guinan and Wesley are guests. But then he said that Majel Barrett Roddenberry will NOT play Lwaxana Troi in the movie. He said, "There's a plot point I don't want to give away, but there's a reason."

Well, he's been gypping Roddenberry's franchise for plenty of years. Now it's time to go after the wife. Anybody taking bets? Klingon Bat'leth? Phaser set on discombobulate? Nerve pinch gone awry?
