Obviously taking lessons from the Fox network, CBS constantly pre-empts
Wolf Lake, thus making sure that any viewing habit that might be formed
is quickly broken.
It was already going to be replaced by the CMAs one week. Now they added the "Concert For New York City" in its place. It's only an hour-long special version of it, and the 4 1/2 hour-plus
version was better.
For those who missed it when it was originally on VH1, you have to see Melissa
Etheridge doing "Born to Run," and the reunion of the Who (for about the 780th
time, but they're still cool).
What were we talking about? Wolf Lake. Poor Lou Diamond Phillips.
Melissa Etheridge already dated his ex-wife and had babies with her by way of
David Crosby. And now this.
Bad News Update! CBS placed Wolf
Lake on "hiatus." Which is TV-speak for "We don't really like to say it's
cancelled, but it's cancelled. Boy howdy, is it canceled."
The show aired four whole times. Just enough to get us kind of interested.
In a Yahoo! news story, CBS said they hadn't decided what they would put
on its place. Hey, nothing like thinking ahead before you make a decision.
