Director DJ Caruso said he will be the next director to try to make the Preacher movie, based on the comic book by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon.
This has happened before, so until cameras start rolling, I'm dubious.
There have been about 17 plans to make a live action version of the comic book about Jesse Custer, his girlfriend Tulip, and an Irish vampire searching for God.
The comic series is gross, disgusting, and awesome.
At one point James Marsden, Cyclops from X-Men said he was set to play Custer.
HBO was going to do a TV show, but they instead decided to keep showing movies that came out saw six months ago on Netflix.
Caruso directed I Am Number Four and some of the TV series The Shield. More importantly, he directed one episode of the quickly canceled Fox sci-fi show VR.5. I'm glad someone connected to that show is still in the business.
Caruso said Preacher is "fantastic"
in this interview.
He tweeted on the Twitter right here about getting the job. He said he's "pretty filking pumped."
But forget all that, the most important question is who will play Arseface. Today's special effects technology will finally be put to the test to make someone's face look like a butt.
