A sequel to The Blair Witch Project is in the works.

However, most likely it will be a prequel, detailing the previous activities of the Blair Witch as documented in The Curse of the Blair Witch, the Sci-Fi Channel special that helped spread the word about this freaky footage of missing teenagers and something in the woods.

At the moment, the Haxan Films originators are not involved. But Haxan producer Robin Cowie says "The idea of going back really excites us." (Translation: "Are you offering a percentage of the gross or the net?")

The creators didn't want to do a direct sequel, but they say they will do something. Maybe.

In the meantime, they're working on a couple of non-missing teenager related projects, like the television show Fearsum, with Blade writer David Goyer. The show will be about a website that details bizarre happenings. The hero of the piece discovers that his long-dead twin brother might be alive. There will be a companion website. Maybe this Internet thing will catch on one day.

The show will appear on Fox sometime next season. Or will it? To find out, you'll have to keep coming back to our site. On the Internet!.
