Sci-Fi TV Newsblast decrypts news about nerd-related TV shows. It's for your own good.

Walking Dead

Walking Dead is an excellent zombie comic book by Robert Kirkman. Now it's got a "pickup" as a "drama pilot," according to this report.

That means the chances of this getting on TV are slightly improved from the last time it was announced that the comic would be a TV show, almost 3 months ago. That's a super-fast turnaround by Hollywood standards.

At the least, it'll get a live-action Walking Dead episode finished and in the hands of sci-fi convention bootleggers and torrent streamers. That's all we really want. Um, I mean, we don't want that at all!

The psionic action flick Push is in the works as a TV show.

Here is the RevolutionSF review. To quote our reviewing guy, "Where are the explosions?"

It's very much like Heroes. And we already have Heroes. However, if there are more shows about people with superpowers, that's less time for shows about people who are lawyers or doctors. In your face, real life professions!

RevolutionSF's Joe Crowe didn't ask to be special. He's just born that way.
