RevolutionSF Newsblast is sci-fi news with a dash of opinion. Just a touch. OK, sometimes a lot. But wait! It also has links to YouTubity goodness regarding sci-fi news. Today's musical guest: Yogi Bear's Treasure Hunt.

Wil Wheaton Is In Star Trek (The New One)

Likeable nerd Wil Wheaton revealed that he does a voice in the new Star Trek movie. But wait! Perhaps you do not believe the former Next Generation huge-sweater wearer. Let's go to the footage.

There, at the end, for about two seconds. So maybe on Star Trek Earth-2, Wesley Crusher is a Romulan. This is good news for everyone.

Yogi Bear Movie Better Have Cindy Bear In It

If you're like me, you always wondered, "Which Ghostbuster and N-Sync member should be Yogi Bear and Boo Boo in a live-action movie?" Finally we have our answer: Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake. It'll be one of those live action / CGI abominations with humans and cartoon people living together, total chaos.

Everything we ever liked when we were kids will soon be a movie.

It's just crazy. What's next? Micronauts?

JJ Abrams Might Do Micronauts

Buried in this story is news about JJ Abrams working on a Micronauts movie. The Micronauts were toys and a sweet Marvel comic in the 1970s. But this got barely a notation, and everything Abrams touches gets tweeted out the wazoo. So it's probably not filming this week. Maybe next week, though.

RevolutionSF is smarter than the average bowtie wearing pink tiger.
