NBC sold their network to Jay Leno. Or something like that. I don't really understand the TV business.
Here is the ALF network's fall schedule for 2009-2010.
NBC Sci-Fi Schedule: 2009-2010
Mon.: Heroes
March 2010: Chuck.
Renewed: Heroes, Chuck
Heroes starts in the fall, and
Chuck takes its place March 2010. Only 10 months and counting!
Now let's enjoy a clip from Chuck.
Creator Josh Schwartz said that Subway will be a major sponsor of the show. He said its integration into the show will be "significant." Hells yeah, them sammiches is delicious.
30 Rock is coming back, too, so that's a few awesome minutes that Jay Leno has not taken from me.
Let's enjoy a 30 Rock clip, too.
Now one from O'Brien. Get behind me, Leno!
Canceled: Medium and Everything Else Remotely Sci-Fi-Ish
More accurately,
My Own Worst Enemy,
Crusoe,
Knight Rider, and
Kings..
Check out our RevSF reviews for those at the links above. None of us saw Kings because we weren't quick enough with our DVRs before it got the boot.
Medium got kicked to the curb. But CBS wants it. Usually when a show is canceled, there's a stage of denial where fans think another network will swoop in and save it. That lasts about two days, then bitter reality sets in.
But this time it might happen.
Update: It happened. This is just going to make all the other shows that get canceled feel bad.
New Shows Not Canceled Yet: Day One, and Besides That Nothin'
Day One is like
Jericho, and it's on NBC's schedule, but it doesn't say when.
This utter lack of attempts at sci-fi comes from the network of Misfits of Science and the greatest show in the history of television, Manimal..
Some say it's better to put no sci-fi-ish shows on than ones that are half-assedly terrible. To that I respond, "How dare you, sir."
