RevolutionSF Newsblast provides value-added sci-fi smartassery about MacGyver, Guinan, and the guy who did the dance of joy on Pylea on Angel. Today's sponsor: Whoopi Goldberg in Theodore Rex. Includes Bud Cort!
Stargate SG-1 Movie To Have More MacGyver
The
Stargate business is still good business. A
third DVD movie is in the works, and so is a
Stargate Atlantis movie, in addition to the new
Stargate Universe series. Richard Dean Anderson has now been Jack O'Neill for 45 years longer than he was MacGyver.
Joss Whedon Still Requires Intervention
Joss Whedon spoke
at Harvard, because apparently that is where smart people speak. He talked about humanism, and the story says he acted like
Dollhouse was canceled already. Obviously he was caught in a moment of lucidity before his "Fox is great to work for" drugs cycled back on.
Battlestar Galactica at United Nations, and Guinan Shows Up
Creator Ronald Moore, Edward James Olmos, and Mary McDonnell spoke at
the United Nations about
Battlestar Galactica.
For some reason, Whoopi Goldberg was there. No one said "Wrong show. You were Guinan on Star Trek," and so she didn't go "Um, sorry," and back out of the room all awkward and quiet, while everyone in the room pretended not to stare at her.
Simpsons Stamps Seek Lickers
The Simpsons will be
on stamps. I know the post office has a thing about being timely, so then why are all the faces on the stamps from the first season, when they were drawn and animated badly? Do they want us to lick them or not?
