Webisode Probe analyzes the amount of fun obtainable from four-minute Web shorts from sci-fi shows that always last longer than four minutes.
"Aren't you frakkin' lucky you got a mechanic on board?"
What it's about: A 10-part thing about Boomer on a ship, and somebody gets whacked. So it looks like we've got a mystery to solve, gang.
Watch it now? Now now now? If you are jonesing for some BSG, this might soothe your gnawing emptiness. But it only lasts four minutes, and those go by quick, because the cast looks at each other and doesn't say anything a lot.
Geek parts per million: 500,000. It's BSG, but it's not unmissable. Unless something really monumental happens and you'll hate yourself and be hopelessly lost if you didn't see every minute of the webisodes. That's always a possibility.
What it's all about: Mama Petrelli interrogates one of the soldiers who signed up for the super-formula in the third-to-last episode of this season. A caption at the start says "One month ago . . . ", whatever that means, since that's close to real time, and the
Heroes episodes don't happen in real time. And Mama P still has her powers. But I'm going to let that slide. I think.
Watch it now? Now now now? It's pretty good. Mama P is excellent. The soldier gets snippy with Mama, which is just crazy. Why would you do that? And the last-second reveal urges me to buy a Dodge Acura.
I mean, watch the next one.
Best of all, no narration by Mohinder!
Geek parts per million: 700,000.
