People Might Not Like Watchmen Movie
A story on Sci Fi Channel's site runs down the reasons people might not like the
Watchmen movie.
We also got in the movie's Kool-Aid, but we knew the flavor. The Sci Fi writer talks smack about the ending of Watchmen, proving that he is cuckoo. That's right. Cuckoo. The ending is excellent. Smartest man in the world, baby!
Patrick Stewart Does Something British, At Long Last
Patrick Stewart wants to appear on
Doctor Who and is blokes with
Who Doctor David Tennant from a play they did together. (I called them blokes because they are British.) The BBC said it could be next season, or the one after, whenever Stewart gets off his ass.
Technically, they didn't say the ass part. Stewart could hit the nerd trifecta if he adds Doctor Who, but hasn't he done enough for us? The answer is no. Dance, funny talkin' monkey.
Zombie Legos Make Us Wish We Had Lots of Legos
This
zombie Lego diorama makes us think maybe we could do something cool. But alas, with the one measly box of Legos we have, we can't do crap.
Simpsons Writer Gets Award For Being Funny
Who knew? The James Thurber prize goes to a humor writer, which I someday hope to be. This year, winner Larry Doyle worked on The Simpsons and Beavis and Butthead, which surprisingly was not listed at the literary award's site. He was editor at the long-ago defunct First Comics, where he wrote Badger.
He also wrote Looney Tunes: Back In Action, but I will let that slide, this once.
