Thor Movie, Stardust Director, Praise Odin

The movie Stardust based on a Neil Gaiman story opened this weekend, and you may not have seen it.

Its director Matthew Vaughn isn't Vince Vaughn's brother like a wire service reported, but he will direct Thor, the Marvel Comics guy with the hammer who is awesome.

This isn't Vaughn's first rodeo with Marvel. He was set to direct X-Men 3 but didn't. Perhaps because he read the script first.

Now here's a joke.

Ancient Rome. Hedonism. Decadence. As the mighty civilization fell, citizens of the realm indulged every sin, littering the streets with nonstop orgies of sin and sex.

Then the skies darkened. Thunder rolled across the heavens, shaking the fallen city and all its people as they gave in to their basest urges.

A bolt of lightning struck in the middle of the city, amid a writhing throng of bodies.

A man appeared in the aftermath of the bolt. Power echoed forth from his regal, invincible bearing.

He held a mighty hammer to the heavens, and roared, "I AM THOR!"

A guy stood up and said, "YOU'RE Thor? I can barely pith!"

Good night, folks! Thank you very hard!
