Actor Richard Biggs, who played Dr. Stephen Franklin on "Babylon 5," has died.

J. Michael Stracyznski, "Babylon 5" creator, reported that paramedics on the scene said the cause could have been an aneurysm or massive stroke.

Biggs recently appeared on "ER," "NYPD Blue," "Tremors," and "The Guiding Light." He was a cast member of "Days of Our Lives" from 1987 to 1992.

Biggs was a highlight of Atlanta's Dragon*Con convention for us at RevolutionSF for several years. He and Jason Carter (Marcus on "B5") appeared regularly there in very funny "Whose Line Is It Anyway"-style improv shows.

He and Carter also presented acting seminars as The Biggs and Carter Experience.

Straczynski said, "He was, quite simply, a terrific guy."

RevSF fiction editor Jayme Blaschke remembers Richard Biggs in his blog.
