Six Degrees of Sex and The City to Escape From New York
Contest Hosted by Joe Crowe, August 29, 2002
This week, the masses rose up—rose up!—and attempted to cast
me down into the mud. There is an easy, well-known two-degree answer for today's
challenge, that being Kim Cattrall from Sex and The City being the girl
in Kurt Russell's Big Trouble in Little China.
And I overlooked it. I accept no blame myself, but several of my underlings
have been tarred and feathered. Then re-tarred. But not re-feathered, because
that's just cruel.
The challenger who sent that entry in FIRST is the one who didn't have
to return to the Tree of Woe to find a different way to complete the contest.
Everyone else has now learned the Six Degrees Lesson of Steel: A really easy
answer is not always best, because many and sundry others can find that answer
just as easy.
Not Really Any Degrees:
Kurt Russell was in Escape From LA, the pseudo-sequel, and Sarah Jessica Parker
almost single-handedly made me want to escape from the theater during LA Story.
Mario Cantone, gay plus 1 on Sex and the City, was the host of Steampipe
Alley! Woo hoo! He was also the gay guy on at least one episode of Ed (I haven't
seen that many) with (is it) Michael Ian Black, you know, that guy who used
to be on The State, an then, sadly enough, Spy TV, who was also in Wet Hot American
Summer with Sex and the City guest star Molly Shannon... (email@example.com)
All challengers must see Wet Hot American Summer.
Kurt Russell, who was in "Escape From New York", also starred in "Escape From
L.A." with Steve Buscemi, who costarred in "Tales From the Darkside: The Movie"
along with James Remar, who played (no joke) "Mr. Wright" on "Sex and the City"...phew!
This is hard work! (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Well, if we have to this the HARD WAY... Kurt Russell was in several films ("Swing
Shift", "Overboard") with Goldie Hawn, who appeared in the First Wives' Club
with Mayor Ed Koch, who appeared in "The Real Me" episode of Sex and the City.
Kyle MacLachlan (Sex) and Harry Dean Stanton (Escape) were both in that classic
flick, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. (email@example.com)
Kurt Russell (Snake Plissken: Escape >From New York) was in Big Trouble in Little
China with Kim Cattrall (Samantha Jones: Sex and the City) (firstname.lastname@example.org)
