In our continuing coverage of the election results that matter to you, Jerry Doyle, who played Garibaldi on Babylon 5 won the Republican nomination to run for Congress in California's 24th District, which represents parts of Los Angeles and Ventura counties.

Doyle entered the race when potential Republican candidate Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, former Doobie Brothers guitarist, dropped out. One story said they were really counting on "Skunk."

What happened? Did he think we didn't want to hear some funky Dixieland?

Why can't the Presidential elections be this interesting?

The last time a 70s rock guitarist did anything this important was when Ace Frehley declared that it was "cold gin time again."

Pretty mama, take Joe Crowe by the hand.
